The Year is finishiiiing

The semester is finishing and I just want my holidays. But not all this months were very heavy: in the English IV class I get relaxed and for me they were some of the best classes of the semester. I met new persons and I have fun. And write blogs was very good for me, because it was a good moment, even to meet myself.

The blog that I liked to write most was the walk that I like to do again, because it was very emotive to remember those things with my family, and my grandfathers that they left us. It was very nice for me to remember in those happy family moments. Also I liked to write the one of “my holidays”.

The most bored post that I did was the one of the website… I don´t know, maybe Simon has to think in others kind of posts because it was really bored. No, I was joking, but yes, I don’t know why it was too bored for me.

Without dude, I think my English has improved, in specific ways, my vocabulary. I think that make blogs can help a lot in that topic because we must to know new words that we did not know that they exist before. So the vocabulary started to grow up.

I think that one of my favorite’s blog post that I red, was the “walk that I like to do again” writhed for my classmate Javiera. Or the “A crazy day” one. I don’t know, they were very entertaining to read (well done Javiera J )

A one-on-one conversation

Hello Everyone:

When I was between 12 and 14 years old, Marcelo Bielsa became in the trainer of the national Chilean football team.  That was the beginning of the football that we play today, fighting in the high part of the table in the classifications table for the FIFA world cup, two American´s cup, and being afraid by giants teams in the world.  

If I have to choice some person to talk in a one-on-one conversation with, I would choice to him, Marcelo Bielsa. One of my favourite person in the football world. He now is a football trainer without team.

The first time that I heard about Marcelo Bielsa was when the Chilean team was searching for a new trainer for the classifications to the Southafrican World Cup. It was in 2007. I was very ignorant in this field, but my brother was very happy for him to be the new trainer.

We all know what he did in Chile, and if I have this possibility to talk with him, I would like to questions many things, the way he thinks, the explosives reactions when the things are not good in the camp, the way and methods that he apply in every team that train and obviously, some things about his interesting life.

I think that “el loco” Bielsa is an interesting person for the thinks he did, maybe today is not so interesting because he is not in our country, but for me he always will be an idol. 

A Hobby

Hello!

When I was a kid I didn´t like the football, I believed that this was very boring and it didn´t call my attention for a lot of time. But when I was 9 years old I started to play with my friends of the neighbourhood and because of that I realized the good and entertaining that was the football for me. Today, I can say that this is my favorite hobby, it´s the only one that I have kept since it started to like me.

But not always was like today, when I was a boy I just liked to play it, but still was boring for me to see the match in television, even I thought that going to the stadium and see a match was just losing money.

I don’t know what happened, but then my brother made me a fan of the Universidad de Chile team. Then it was not just to play, it was to see every match in television of my team, and the good matches too, European football and the football matches of Chile.

I had others hobbies too, but no one compares with football. Today, with most of my time used for the university and other things, I can´t play too much football. However, sometimes I get to play some match with my school friends. There we have a very good time. I love to play with them because we play laughing and in a very pleasant environment. Also, in many times we can see together the football matches of the Chilean selection.

I like this because keepme entertained for a lot of time. I always I´m seeing things related to football. Too much, no? here I let you with my favourite match of my football team! :D

Hello:

All of us we know him, he was a singer of the most popular chilean band, Los prisioneros and now he is a soloist singer. Yes, I’m talking about Jorge Gonzalez.

He is a Chilean singer that started his career in the famous band, Los Prisioneros. An incredible thing, was that no one of the members of the band knew how to play an instrument. But the most amazing of them was that they singed a lot of songs with contents against the dictatorship of Pinochet, they were very brave to do that, and they had a real influence in the young people of those years.

The band had a fight of the members and then they separated. It was the starting of the first soloist career of Jorge. Then, the band joined again, but then again they got separated. In this second time as a soloist singer, Jorge became to have more success than the first one. Here, he recreated a lot of songs of Los Prisioneros and he made an album called “Trenes”. That is my favourite album of his career.

He passed lot of time out of Chile as a soloist, but he always came to make his concerts. He had presentations in Viña del Mar festival, and the people still like his music. As we know today, suffered of a heart attack in February, 2015 and he´s very sick. He had to learn to do many things again.

If I had a conversation with him I think I would like to talk about his musical career. Or I would like to play the guitar with him. Some songs… I don´t know, I would like a lot to make real this idea.

My last weekend

Hi!

It was a very long weekend, it started the Friday and finished (in my case) on Wednesday, because I don’t have classes this day. Anyway, all the days I did works for the university. It was very heavy, but I could rest for sometimes of course, and had dispersion moments too.

In Friday, I arrived to my house and I went to the cinema with my family, we saw “Inferno”. It´s an entertaining movie, too much longer, but I really liked. Then we went to our house and my father bought a Künstman beer in the homeway, I was very surprised because he doesn´t like too much the beer. And in the house we shared a good moment eating a good food and drinking the beer.

On Saturday, I started my work plan. I had to do six works this weekend, and study because the next week I have three test :( . So, in Saturday I got up early (9 am, early to be a weekend) I had breakfast and then I just worked and worked, I had two economy geography works, so I started with that. That was all this day.

On Sunday, I did the same thing. The entertaining of the day was given a shower to my dog. So, with my dad we took a large dish, we filled of water, shampoo and toilet soap, and we gave a good shower to my dog.

On Monday, I didn’t work. That day came my old brother with his wife and daughter (1 year). He is so sweet! I love her!. We spend all the day together. We did empanadas and a barbecue. So we had a really good time. Tuesday and Wednesday were like Saturday :( . The good thing is that I finished most of the works :)

A walk I would like to do again

When I was 15 years old, my parents buy a house in the beach, just a 50 meters of the Los Vilos beach. It was not a bigger house, but the first summer of holidays, we went with all my family from the part of my mother, we were almost 25 persons in one house, some of us we slept  in a tent or in the cars, and we gave the beds to the oldest persons of the family. We past a very good time with my cousins and uncles and we spend 10 days in there… or 12, I don’t remember too much hahaha.

In that vacations, my uncles took to all the family to a place at the south of the beach, this was like a rock hills next to the sea. I think we were the only people that meted the place, because it was so beautiful and there wasn´t any person there. We walk around the rocks carefully with my cousins and some uncles, but it was so funny! We past a very good time with my family.

I remember we saw the sea getting into the beautiful and big rocks of the hill. In some parts, we got up to the climb, and sometimes it was so difficult, I did not have idea of how I got down of that rocks.

I would like to go again with all my family to this place, it will bring me many good memories and obviously, because I love to be with them. 

Something I would like to learn

Hello classmates:

Today I would like to write of something that I would like to learn. I always like the music, and that’s why when I was 9 years old I began how to learn to play the guitar, but that was because I had a guitar in my house. No one played it ever in my family, actually I don´t know how it came to my house. But it came and I started to learn.  

Knowing some more instruments when I grow up, I wanted to play a lot of them, but I never had the money to buy me other that I wanted. So today I just have the energy to begin to learn the one that I like most: the piano.

I would like to learn this instrument because You can play the song you that you want, and it sounds very good. I always liked the music of the piano. I don’t think that it will be difficult to me, people say that if you learned to play or the guitar or the piano, the other will be easy to learn, because you have the fingers more accustomed to play, and you have the coordination and the technic.

One of my favorite players is the Chilean pianist Roberto Bravo. My father used to listen his music. Of course, he is a professional and his level it´s simply unattainable.

Hello classmates:

Today I would like to talk about my last summer holidays. They were this year, from January to February. I went with my girlfriend to a lots of parts. We started here in Santiago because she didn´t know this city, so she came to visit to me. We did many things, I took her to the San Cristobal Hill, Bellavista, some museums and other things. Then, we wanted to visit some friends and his family of Mendoza, so we travelled to this city. There, I stayed with a friend, Tomi. His family is so good! I really love them. There, we meth with many friends, because at the same time, there was a German friend too, so we had a real good time. I had to meet the family of my girlfriend. I was so nervous hahaha, but it was fine, she has a big family, and they are such a good persons.

Then, we went to Buenos Aires, we wanted to have a time there. We stayed two weeks in the house of a friend of my girlfriend, Camila. We went to meet as a tourist the city. I liked but, I would not live there, It´s too big, and the people is very loud-mouthed.

Then we went to her city. At the south of Argentina. That was the last part of our vacations together, in february. We pass a lot of time together. And the most that I liked was to meet all her family. I think I was very lucky of that she has them. 

A Website

Today I would like to talk of Facebook that is my favorite website because it allows to communicate with friends and family that is close or far away. I use more now because the cellphones have all Facebook mobile, so it´s easy to see in every moment.

As I said before, I use this website to communicate with the people, but also I can see photos of them and be updated of how they are.

I create mi profile in 2008, when this website was not so full of things like now. It had just a few uses, I remember that in our profile they was the test that we did with my friends, they were so stupid hahaha…

In the day I can see Facebook lot of times, because sometimes we get bored and we begin to use the cellphones, I don´t know if it´s bad, because sometimes we abuse and we don´t have time to see the faces of the people who surround us or we don´t pay attention to the people who is talking to us.

Anyway, I think this is a very useful website, because I like too much to be communicated whit my friends of the world.

Utaku Zone Fanzine

Today I will talk about a fanzine made by fans (Students from my university) that his thematic is about the otaku world. I took a general look of the fanzine and it was very complete. Even when I don’t like this world (It´s not that I don’t like, it´s just that it´s not interesting for me) I began to know many interesting things that I didn´t know that they exist.

The Fanzine is complete because also has paintings of the same students (and yes, they are of the mangas that they read).

Maybe something that they can change is the order of the fanzine, because it doesn’t have index, and the articles are very disordered. Maybe, they can start with a topic of articles and then others. It will give more order to the fanzine.

I would like to create a CFG of kitchen, in English… jajaja because there is a world inside the kitchen, and to combine the English with something like the kitchen, it´s very interesting.

The Future

I always think in the future… I don´t know if it’s okay, sometimes I think that I must live the present, because is the only thing that we have. But it´s impossible not to think about it. Actually, when I think in the future, I see myself living in another country, maybe Argentina, for my girlfriend. She studies acting in a university in the south of the country and there, her career is more recognized than here, so, I think I´ll be there. 

Still I don´t know my occupation with security, because geography here it´s very important, but in Argentina is different, the geography camp is very limited, they don’t need too much to the geographers. So, I think I´ll go, but probably I´ll have to be a teacher in the school and I don´t want too D:

Of course, the idea of going to live in Argentina is for my girlfriend, and many things can change, I don’t want to, but we don’t know the future. If I project myself, I would like to be with her, close to her family, because she loves them and me too, I love his family and we share many things when I go to her house to visit them. I would like to create a family maybe, I don’t know.

I would like to have the tittle of my career, and maybe keep studying a little bit more. In that time the world will change a lot from how we know him. In my field, to global change will aggravate as we know it, and that results in many problems for the people. It´s very difficult to think in this and not to take conscience to change this.

I would like to this world change in that topic. We are destroying it and it´s very important to save it. 

Hello Bloggers:

After this long weekend, I have to say that I did many things. It begins on Friday, when I went to Pichilemu on the night to stay there until yesterday Monday. I went to visit some uncles and cousins there. It was a very nice weekend shared with all my family.

On Saturday we went to the beach and we spend almost all the day with my cousins being there. We took a guitar, mates and jackets (because it was very cold that day) and we went very early there. We get the lunch, some sandwiches and some drinks. Then me and a cousin we give us a bath in the beach. The incredible thing was that the water was very warm. After that we went to a bar with my older cousins, it was a very good time, we talked about many things of the life.

On Sunday we went to the beach again (the house was very close, we had to take advantage). And

then, we went to a market with some handmade articles, it was very cool. Then we went to a craft brewery and it was so great. I like too much drink craft beer, my favorite is the stout. I like his bitterness and color.

Monday was more a familiar day. We lunch all together in the house after get back from the beach. And then we returned to Santiago. The most that I liked was to share some familiar moments. I don´t see many times to this part of the family, but we love to join together. 

Hello Classmates:

Today I´ll talk about a post from other partner, but first, let´s see some details: The blog belongs to Valentina Ulloa and she has five posts on there. The blog has a dominant color, the pink, in many tonalities, in mixture with other colors like red, blue and yellow. The posts are in the middle of the page, having a comfortable design to read. It presents five photos in the five posts. 

One post that I like of her it’s called "Cerro San Cristóbal" and it´s about her experiences in the hill. The post has 162 words and I choose because I did the same post. I talked about the same hill and my experiences there. It´s something in common that we have.

I must review this post using the Revision Code:

“Today i'd (P) like to write about "Cerro San Cristobal".It (P) is a Metropolitan Park, the most extensive in Santiago. The view from the top is really amazing.You (P) can climb to the top riding bicycle or doing trekking, or  you (P) can even go in your car.

When I was a kid I visited this place a lot with my parents (SM). The thing I liked the most was the cable car.I (P) was excited and shocked how a cable car with an egg shape can FLY. Because that’s what I felt... We flew over the city.I (P) loved this place.. I always ate an ice cream after the cable car and my parents ate “mote con huesillo”, a Chilean drink.A (P) few years ago the cable car was closed. And for that reason I didn’t go to San Cristobal for years.This (P) year the cable car will open again.Probably (P) it will not be the same feelings of when I was a kid, but I’m so excited about that anyway”

The post has just a punctuation (P) mistakes. But the other things are very good. 

A song that I love

Hello everyone!

This is a musical moment, today I´d like to talk about a song that is always the first I play in the guitar, every time I take the guitar. The song is called "Por la Ciudad" and it´s wirted by an uruguayan grupo named "La Vela Puerca". I play it first because it´s very easy, just the note G, but with a rythm a little bit particular. The song belongs to the disc "De bichos y flores".

The first time I heard this song was six years ago, when I was in Primero medio (2010). I heard it because when I went for the first time to Argentina, my friends were listening and playing songs in the guitar of this band. In that moment I get in love of that band, I like too much the songs. Specially this, because was the first one I heard, and also because at the final of the song, it takes a rhythm of ska style, with drums, trumpets, electric guitar and a bass. I like too much this combination of instruments. Also, the songs talk about things of the life of a person who wants not to be sad, loves to his friends and to have good times with them. I would like some day to a concert of La Vela Puerca, if they come to Chile.

A photograph

Today I would like to talk about a photograph that I took almost two years ago. I took this photo when I was living in Argentina, close to Buenos Aires, in a little lake that is at the exit of the place where I lived for the year. 

This photo shows an event that happens every day there, in that place, the sunset. That event cannot be more part of a routine, but of course and as you can see, a very beautiful routine (In the thinking of they who take a sunset as something wonderful).

It was very weird for me to see sunsets out of Santiago and his mountains. Here, the sunset is in a lake, there is no mountains, hills or mountain ranges.

I like this photo because I think it´s a very nice sunset, but there is a reason that make me love her: the best year of my life I lived there, I lived with a lot of such a good persons that they are now part of my life. This photo brings to me such a good memories... We tried with my friends to visit this place after work every time, just to be there and share some moments, drink a "mate", take photos, talk and talk of the life... 

I would like to revive this moment, when I took this photo... I wont talk more because I´ll cry... jaja

San Cristóbal Hill

Today I will talk about a place I like to visit a lot, I go every time I can.
the San Cristóbal Hill. This Hill is in the center of Santiago. I visit this every time I can, but I try to visit always the next day of rains in Santiago, I like this because I can see all the city in my feets and also the sky is clean, so I can see the mountains, the buildings and the mountain range with the snow in their tallest parts. But other important view, is the city in the night... lot´s of lights!!

I always try to go with someone, Usually friends. When I was a kid, I visited a lot of times this with my parents and family, but now I´m bigger, so I have to go alone :( that´s why I try to go with my friends, the last time my girlfriend came to Chile and, obviously, we went to the Hill :D
Also of the view, to climb the mountains (and descend) means a lot of exercise for my legs, thing that I like too much, I like to do physical exercises.
Another important part of Santiago, in relation with this, I think is the Santa Lucía Hill. yes, it´s too small, but I think it´s important to considerate because of the tourism that it has.

The Failure of San Ramón

Hi Bloggers! I hope you are well. Today, I would like to speak something about my career, Geography. But not anything about Geography, I would like to talk about the problem that the city of Santiago is having in this moments. What´s happening? the big failure of San Ramón. What is this? basically, this failure it´s a reverse failure (the movements are vertical) that is in the east of Santiago, in the beggining of the "Cordillera de Los Andes". It is a problem because researchers say that the failure can make a big earthquake in this zone. In ohters words, the failure is active. Maybe the eartquakes of this zone will not be great like the others that we know of the past (27F, 16S), but the people think that this won´t be a problem to keep building here, in the east of Santiago. That´s the real problem. Researchers say that the magnitude of the earthquakes of this zone are in the 7 and 8 grades Richter. Not so differents like the others of the coast (27F, 16S). Also, the researchers say that the buildings of Santiago are prepared to support the coasts eartcuakes, but not those who are in they feets. This brings serious problems. The force of destruction of the earthquakes is liberated under our city, causing lots of damages on the population´s buildings of this zone. With this, Geographers say that keep building on ths zone, is an irresponsability of the urbanization plan´s of the city. It´s important to have concscience about this problem, becuase the builder´s companys are still working and building on this zone.

My name is Ricardo, but my friends and family callme Ricky, I dont know why, maybe because its shorter. I´m 20 years old and I live in Santiago, Chile. Now I´m studing Geography (first year), in the University of Chile and I like this career so much!. I like a lot to play the guitar, be with my friends and my girlfriend too, she is Argentinian and she lives there, that´s why I like to travel too (yes, It´s a litle bit difficult). I had to create this blog because of the class of English III. It looks cool, I think, and I like it. I think that´s everytinhg. Bye!
